VisImage Systems Inc. Wins DRDC Contract

On Dec 15, 2009, VisImage Systems Inc. won a contract from The Department of National Defence, Defence Research and Development Canada (DRDC), Toronto, Ontario. The period of the work is from Dec 15, 2009 to March 31, 2011.

This contract is to develop and evaluate suitable operator interface technologies that would provide interface requirements to the Canadian Forces for controlling uninhabited vehicles using handheld devices, including Micro-UAV and UAV swarming.

DRDC Toronto is Canada's centre of expertise for defence research and development in the area of human factors of simulation and modelling, and conducts research and development on Human Modelling to enhance the safety and effectiveness of Canadian Forces operations at the human - machine interface.
